Tonle Sap Lake is also called Phnom Penh Lake, located in the central place of Cambodia. It is the largest lake of Indo-China. The depth and the area of the lake change with the climate: during the dry season: 1 meter deep, 2 700 square kilometers; during the wet season: 9 meters deep, 16 000 square kilometers. The lake crosses Cambodia from northwest to southeast and intersect with Mekong River in the Phnom Penh City. It is like a huge jadeite jade decorated on the ground and providing rich resources for the people of Khmer. It is Cambodia people’s “Lake of Life”.
