Phu Ping Palace

Location: Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Entry fee: 50 Baht
Opening time: 08:30-12:00 in the morning, 13:00-16:00 in the afternoon
Recommended time for a visit: 1-2 hours


Tips: The palace opens only on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays, while the garden open daily when the royal family absent here except January, February and March.


Phu Ping Palace is a temporary site for royal family during the hot summer from January to March each year. Finished in 1962, the entire palace is a typical Thailand style architecture with white walls and golden tiles. The palace garden is scenic and cool especially in December and January with verdant vegetation, roses, salvias and kinds of exotic flowers and rare herbs.
