To be constructed at the same time as Sule, the Botataung Pagoda was unfortunately destroyed by Royal Air Force in 1943. Later when it was rebuilt later, numerous cultural relics and jewelry of more than 2000 years ago was discovered around the pagoda, which now collected in the pagoda and is available for visit.
