Cambodia Climate

Cambodia is dominated by the tropical monsoon climate. But different to the other southeast Asian countries, this climate in Cambodia changes uniquely in different seasons. It has rainy seasons and dry seasons, but both the rainy and dry seasons have cool and hot period, and we know that cool is pretty for travel, hot is not comfortable.

December to February: Cool and dry. This period of time is really perfect for travel. The temperature is around 20 degrees centigrade and it has little rainfall like in autumn. It is the best time to visit the famous Angkor Wat.

March to May: Hot and dry. It has little rainfall and high temperature. The best place to go during this season will be the seaside. There is a Spring Festival for the Cambodia people to escape the hot weather in this time period.

June to August: Hot and Wet. During these months, it is very hot and rains frequently. The temperature stays over 30, which is not good for travel.

September to November: Cool and wet. It is the best to visit Cambodia. It is the end of rainy season and the temperature reduces. Since the rainfall of the rainy season, all the rivers or lakes in Cambodia are filled with water, it is the best time to enjoy various waters of Cambodia.
