1. The best time to visit Cambodia: October to April, when the weather turns cool and dry, is the time to visit Cambodia most comfortably.

2. Time difference and currency:

   Cambodia has the time of GMT+7.

   US dollar and Riel are the current money in Cambodia, and 1 dollar can be converted into 4 000 riel (depend on the current exchange rate)

   USD can be used in the supermarket, restaurant, hotel and some other places with certain scale. Generally the credit card is not applicable.

3. Climate and clothes:

   During the most comfortable time (October-March), the temperature varies greatly between day and night, so you’d better take a thin coat.

   You are suggested to wear long sleeves, pants, and sneakers to protect your skin from sunburn, if you are visiting outdoor places.

   You’d better take some medicines to avoid sunstroke, mosquito, and diarrhea.

4. Customs and taboos:

   Buddhism is the most important religion in Cambodia. You should visit the temples in neat clothes and with no hats and shoes. You should not touch somebody’s vertex.

   The greeting of put your folding palms in front of your chest and slightly lower your head, is generally used in Cambodia.

   Cambodia people have their unique traditional clothes. They like royal classical dance and traditional drama.

   You’d better not go to bars or clubs alone.

5. Other reminders:

   Take care of your passport and valuables well.

   Bring with you enough personal hygiene items.

   Caught in emergency, you can call 117 for bandit alarm, 118 for fire alarm, 119 for ambulance.
