Located abou t3.5km from central Nha Trang, Hon Chong is a complex of stone blocks of all sizes, piling on top of each other into many layers in irregular forms. It forms a small crescent shaped bay with all blocks lower down into the sea as if arranged by a giant hand in a jigsaw puzzle. Large rocks may rest atop much smaller ones, yielding an insecure and forbidding feeling. Strangest are the deep finger marks of a giant hand in the flat side of a huge rock facing the sea. They are said to be left by a fisher giant who fell from the cliff when the fairy he was spying on saw him in a legend. From this large boulder at the tip of the promontory, you can have a panoramic view of NhaTrangBay, one of the most beautiful bays in the world. It is also a good spot to enjoy sunset.
