Datanla Waterfall

Datanla is one of the more easily accessed waterfalls in Dalat and is conveniently located a few kilometers south of the city. Sometimes ethnic artists perform cong chieng there – a Vietnamese traditional instrument cast from mixed copper. Those who are looking for thrills should try the mini roller coaster ride from the top of the fall.

Datanla Waterfall is around5kmfrom Dalat, at the foot ofPrennPass.With entrance at the top of the fall, the waterfall has a stable source of water in the upstream for the whole year. Falling down gracefully from twenty meters high, Datanla Waterfall pours to an area called “Suoi Tien”, the Fairy Stream. Tourists like to walk into this very cool and transparent water. For tourists’ convenience, there is a nice road to go down to the waterfall or tourists can use the chute’s system for sliding down or being pulled up.

The scenery of Datanla is wild and charming, and it was classified as a site of natural beauty by Vietnamese government in 1998.
