2 Days Temples of Angkor

8:00 Hotel pick up

Your private tour guide and driver will pick you up from hotel then start the tour. 

8:00-12:00 Angkor Thom & Tap Prohm Temple

After tour guide pick up, you will be escorted to visit the ancient city Angkor Thom which was the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. The tour in Angkor Thom will starts from the South Gate and walk along the ancient city wall to see the lost temple of Prasat Chroung, then continue to the Bayon temple where you will be surrounded by 216 gigantic stone faces which fame as “smile of Angkor”. You will also visit the Terrace of the Elephants, the Royal Palace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

When weather gets hot, your driver will pick you up and you can enjoy air-condition and cold drinks inside your private car while transferring you to Temple of Ta Prohm which is wildly known as “lost to the jungle temple”.

12:00-15:30 return to hotel.

Return to city for lunch then transfer back to hotel for a rest to avoid the heat. 

15:30—18:00  Angkor Wat

After short rest in the hotel, you tour guide will pick you up from hotel at 15:30, then escorts you to visit the famous world’s wonder site-Angkor Wat, the magnificent temple was built in 12th century and it is the largest first Hindu, Buddhist temle complex and the largest religious monument in the world. 

18:00 return to hotel.

Transfer back to hotel, rest of the day will be at your leisure.

7:30 Pick up from Hotel.

After breakfast, your private tour guide and driver will pick you up from hotel then start today’s tour for the grand circle of Angkor. 

7:30-12:00 Banteay Srey, Ox Cart ride through village.

You will travel to the Pink Stone Temple of Banteay Srey. Despite its miniature scale, this temple has spectacular decorative wall carving which are still observable in fine details today.

Your tour will continue to visit, on the way back, local communities along the way and your guide will help you to interact with the local community to learn about the way of life here. Seize the opportunity to taste Palm Wine and Palm Sugar (seasonal) and other popular local products. After that you will continue to Banteay Samre temple which was built in 12th century. Finally, you will enjoy riding ox cart around the village near Samre temple to witness the daily life in the local village of Cambodia. 

12:00-15:30 return to hotel.

Return to city for lunch then transfer back to hotel for a rest to avoid the heat. 

15:30—18:30 visit temples and enjoy sunset  

Tour guide will pick you up from hotel and continue to visit more highlights of the temples of Angkor. Firstly you will visit the Temple of Preah Khan and Temple of Ta Som, both built in 12th century for King Jayavarman VII, but now this temple left largely unrestored with numerous trees and other vegetation growing among the ruins. Continue to visit the Temple of East Mebon, built in 10th century in Hindu style.  

On your way back to Siem Reap, enjoy the sunset from the top of the pyramid-shaped temple of Pre Rup, white wine and snacks are provided while enjoying sun set. 

18:30 return to hotel.

Transfer back to hotel, rest of the day will be at your leisure.
