Hsinbyume Paya is quite unique. The whole body of the paya is in milk white. It was built to be a round, an imitating of the Sumeru Mountain in Buddhism. The paya has three storeys. The base is the most unique which embrace a 7-storey small paya symbolizing the high mountains and stretching to the platform of the second floor. The second and third floors were built just as that of ordinary Buddhism pagodas, while on the platform of the third floor, it is decorated with numerous small size stupas. The third floor also enshrines a big Buddha for worshipping.
Hsinbyume Paya was built for a queen according to historical records. Look afar, the whole paya is just like a huge cream cake, so it is also called as cream-cake pagoda by people. It is said that the paya was the divination center in Myanmar.
