Wat Phnom

Location: North of the Phnom Penh City.

The Wat Phnom is located in the highest mountain of the city. The pagoda was first built in 1371 to place the four Buddha sculptures brought by the Mekong River. You can see the whole scene of the Phnom Penh City, so it is a great place to see what the city is like. The people believed that the temple has the power of making their wishes come true. Thus many people come here to pray for safety or health. Many people who had their wishes come true bring the temple with some lotus flowers as offerings.
