It is the headquarter of Cambodian Buddhism, and also the center of Buddhism belief. It is built in 1441 and rebuilt in 1979. It is said that a hair of a Buddha’s eyebrow was collected in the temple, which is why the temple named Ounalom (means sacred eyebrow). Wat Ounalom has the biggest Buddhism pagoda of Cambodia. The pagoda locates in front of the Tonle Sap River, and it is not far from the Royal Palace. It is a great place for tourists to take a leisure stroll and to experience the peaceful atmosphere inside the temple.
