Thailand Food

Thailand food is some of the best in the world, and it offers a wide selection of restaurants serving authentic Italian, Japanese, Middle Eastern, and other cuisines.

A very famous expert of Thai cuisine, Australian chef David Thompson says: "Thai food ain't about simplicity. It's about the juggling of disparate elements to create a harmonious finish. Like a complex musical chord it's got to have a smooth surface but it doesn't matter what's happening underneath. Simplicity isn't the dictum here, at all. Some westerners think it's a jumble of flavors, but to a Thai that's important, it's the complexity they delight in."

Thailand food emphasizes on sour, sweet, and spicy. It is good at balancing the various ingredients and spices, but cook it with simple ways, including eaten raw, fry, deep fry, pan fry, stew and etc. Soup means a lot to Thailand people. Thailand soup is heavy and strong boiled with the food. Thailand soup can be the main food with rice. The dessert of Thailand is very unique that they make it with ingredients like egg, mung bean, rice noodle, lotus nut, palm sugar, manioc root, and etc. They also cook the sweets with all kinds of syrups which made from the flowers.

Thailand food has four cuisines according to the different geographies and customs, namely North Thailand Cuisine, Northeast Thailand Cuisine, Middle Thailand Cuisine and South Thailand Cuisine. Because of the influence from China, especially the Teochew cuisine, Thailand has many Chinese dishes. A Thailand dinner generally contains rice, one or two Thailand gurry with fish or meat, soup, and salad.
