The Four Faced Buddha was built in 1956, but it is not really a Buddha, but the Lord Brahma who is one of the Trinity of Hindu Gods. In the eyes of Thailand or Southeast Asia people, Phra Phrom is considered extremely merciful, thus they don’t eat meat before worship the Buddha to show their kindness to animals.
